Compare Medjool dates using three separate questions: what grade is the fruit, how large is each date, and how much does the pack contain? At Abu Ayyash Farms, Premium, Delight and Classics are grade names; Medium, Large and Jumbo are size descriptions.
01
Grade describes the selection
Our range uses Premium, Delight and Classics. Premium is selected for presentation, with uniform-looking whole fruit and intact skin. Classics is our practical family option with naturally loose skin. Ask for the current Delight specification and samples when planning a trade order.
These are our commercial grade names. To compare suppliers, request the actual specification and sample rather than treating a shared grade word as a universal standard. Appearance, texture and the intended use all belong in the comparison.
02
Fruit size is different from pack weight
Our size vocabulary includes Small, Medium, Large, Jumbo and Super Jumbo. A 1 kg pack tells you the weight of the pack; Jumbo tells you the selected fruit-size band. Ask for the agreed size criteria when making a wholesale specification.
- Premium: the Jordan shop lists 1 kg and 2 kg packs in Medium or Jumbo.
- Classics: each option is a 5 kg box. Medium Mix combines Small and Medium; Super Mix combines Jumbo and Super Jumbo.
- Individually wrapped describes the serving format. Rutab describes the soft ripening stage, rather than a grade or a box weight.
03
Compare the price of the same specification
Check the net pack weight, grade, fruit size and wrapping before comparing prices. A lower box price may cover a different weight or selection. Delivery is calculated separately in the Jordan shop, and seasonal availability is confirmed when the order is reviewed.
For home use, decide whether you value a presentation-focused selection, a generous family box or individual servings. For trade, agree the sample, packing and delivery requirements before requesting a quote.
