For a UAE buyer, the first decision is often the serving format: a family box, a gift pack, individual hospitality servings or a retail programme. Build the specification around that use, then confirm registration, labelling and the delivery plan with your UAE importing partner.
01
Match the pack to the channel
A loose-fruit pack and an individually wrapped format solve different needs. Tell us whether your customer serves dates in a hotel, sells consumer packs or needs a private-label range. Specify fruit size, grade and net pack weight as separate fields.
- Retail: target pack weight, shelf presentation and label artwork.
- Hospitality: individual wrapping or loose fruit, serving needs and replenishment.
- Seasonal programmes: the required arrival window and the dates of your promotion.
02
Resolve registration and labels before dispatch
The UAE Government’s food-safety guidance describes food registration through ZAD and the role of local food authorities. Your UAE partner should confirm the current product-registration, label-review and import procedures for the receiving emirate.
Send the exact product name, pack format and proposed artwork for that review. Agree who supplies and approves each document before printing or loading; a previous shipment or an existing registration should not be assumed to cover a changed product or label.
Official overview of registration and responsible food authorities. The receiving authority and importer confirm the requirements for your shipment.
03
Plan for receipt, storage and replenishment
Agree the receiving warehouse and the proposed cold-chain handover. Ask how the fruit will be held during clearance and onward distribution, who checks the shipment on arrival, and which storage instructions travel with it.
For a Ramadan or gifting programme, work backwards from the required selling date. Share the expected volume and replenishment plan early; our team confirms seasonal supply, samples and lead time after reviewing the specification.
